Blueprinting and Accurizing

Action Prep

Here's a typical Remington 700 after the barrel is removed. The factory barrel will be recycled and the action will be cleaned and prepped for accurization processes. Note the very crudely machined surfaces, many of these I have observed an almost "bandsawed" torque shoulder!

Action Raceway Gauged or Conformed

If the action falls within acceptable tolerances, the bolt will be appropriately sleeved according to the precision bushing measurement, if the action is oversized, the raceway can be reamed to uniform size and bolt will be sleeved to fit precisely and reliably.

Axial Alignment to NEAR-ZERO (within .0001") TIR

Our custom made jigs, beefy precision machines, and tooling ensure rigid robust repeatable work-holding, providing the best surface finishes and tightest tolerances. The action bearing surfaces are precision machined square and concentric, providing a perfect framework to build a precision rifle.

Threads, Bolt Lug Abutments, and Barrel Torque Shoulder

Receiver features re-machined to within .0001" equal, square, and true to each other, the world, and the datum centerline of the receiver itself - giving the cartridge a perfect starting point!

Bolt Truing and Accurizing

Similar to the Receiver, the Bolt features are also precision machined square, concentric, and true to it's centerline, the Firing Pin hole. We precisely machine the bolt face preserving the built-in extractor.

Bolt Body Sleeving

Reduce bolt "slop" in receiver, tightening tolerances and keeping bolt lugs in perfect contact from chambering to detonation.

Bush Firing Pin Hole, Reduce Firing Pin Tip Diameter

Reduce Firing Pin Hole and Firing Pin Tip size to prevent primer problems with hotter loads.
